At the age of 12 some friends shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him and he committed his life to Christ. Pastor Tim knew right then that God had called him to preach! Over the next 25 years he would speak at a local youth ministry (The Lampstand) and in the church that he attended. However, it wasn't until the spring of 2001 that God finally allowed Pastor Tim to be called to a church. He would pastor this little church for the next 12+ years. While he was waiting for this calling to be "fulfilled", he worked in the sawmill business "pastoring" those that he worked with. Even as he was pastoring his first church he still continued as a bi-vocational pastor. After leaving his first church it would be another 7 years before he was again called, this time to HillCity Church.
